Although traditionally used to refer to the bloodsucking undead, you can use the noun vampire to describe someone who heartlessly preys on others a blackmailer, or anyone else who just sucks the life out of you.

Usage Examples

It's cool to play a vampire and be a part of this new, hot genre.

I've always thought vampires were interesting because they live forever, they're always well-financed, they dress well, you know what I mean? And they're, like, cool. Usually vampire - you've never seen a broke vampire. Have you?

I remember being a kid and sleeping over at my friend's house and staying up late and watching 'Nosferatu.' Vampire movies are supposed to be secret and bad. They should be rated R.

I'm a big fan of vampire movies generally and that sort of tradition of characters.

Other Usage Examples

I love vampire movies. I think they are sexy.

It's difficult to do a genre film well, and it doesn't matter if you're talking vampire movies or 'Dawn of the Dead' or 'The Thing' or 'Escape From New York.' Those kind of movies, they understand what the old-school B-movie is supposed to be, they get the throwback of it.

The vampire was a complete change from the usual romantic characters I was playing, but it was a success.

I love vampire stories. That's why I did the movie. Women especially were taken with that movie-even more so when it came out on video.
